Gas Solution: Turn in your car for a horse

Gas prices have most everyone feeling down. I have a proposal that will work in in every urban capital by replacing cars and parking lots with horses. Let me explain…

Cars take up a lot of real estate, we need to buy them, store them, service and insure them in addition to pouring toxic, non renewable gasoline in on a weekly basis.

Traffic Jams

We already have the infrastructure in place since the side of highways are already covered with grass. How angry can someone get on a horse?

Enviromental Benefits

We will need to plant more grains and hay to support our new form of transportation so this will help to slow global warming.

Supply and Demand

Much like planting a tree when one is removed, this new venture will create jobs for veteranarians, carpenters and all venues of animal husbandry.

Lower Insurance

Less high speed accidents. Unlike cars, horses don’t give drivers full control.

Amish Model

This is already a proven method of transportation. Amish have been getting around for over 300 years.

Durable

The average horse can provide reliable service for 15 years. Regular shoeing, worming and training work out much better to the pocketbook than oil changes, wiper blades and brake pads.

Family Values

Grooming your transportation is not only a stress reliever but having the whole family invest into a shared resource such as a horse builds reliance and trust within the core family unit.

Travel Light or rent a buggy

How great would it be to commute to work, hang out with friends and pull out the old manger when friends come over for a cookout?

I think the first step is to propose this as legislation.
