Have you ever wanted to get something really big done? Make a difference in the world? Today on my lifestream I shared an exercise from this book, Conscious Dating: Finding the Love of Your Life in Today’s World. The goal is to identify what is really important in your life.
You have 10 billion dollars and 10 years left to live. Write down as many things as you can think of that you would want listed as “done” when your time is up.
- Spend two months in each continent
- Learn a new language
- Buy my own home with a garage
- Get in super shape so I look hot in a thong
- Build a library in my city
- Have floor to ceiling windows
- Travel to Jerusalem
- Travel to Mecca
- Visit the Dalai Lama
- Find my father
- Buy a home in New York City
- Visit Google headquarters
- Meet Bill Gates
- Sleep for 1 week solid
- Go snorkeling
- Earn my college degree
- Start working to win the Nobel Peace Prize
- Own my own horse
- Spend one year on the equator
- Take the European rail system
- Speak at a college about my life experiences

That was the first thing I thought when I saw your list. You’re not spending enough money fast enough.
You could probably do it all for 1/10th of a billion!
Heck, you could probably buy Google!
But if you’re looking for 99 more people to split it with, I love to travel and to learn…..

Gary,
You’re right. I could certainly start a foundation, create evergeen investments for various non profits I support, drop some wealth into Kiva.org for microlending.
I think the book wanted to help people let go of barriers and boundaries plus, there is no need to spend it before the 10 years is up…that’s what true wealth is; focus on growing vs spending
