How to Hide Your Desktop Icons on XP and Vista

I was Googling on how to hide my desktop icons and found a great Lifehacker article so I made a video to illustrate how it works.

The article linked to HowToGeek’s tutorial on using the HideDesktopIcon utility to quickly create a keyboard shortcut to hide icons.  I don’t really need a keyboard shortcut but I did find the utility to be fast and effective!

It works on my XP systems.  I would think it would work fine on Vista.  If you’re using Windows 2000, you need to upgrade.
