I did take time to go through the site. The site is “optimized” to encourage clicks. I am basing this on usability studies and books I’ve read. The design is not focused on the user experience.

I noticed you put in a 2 letter domain name for your email address. I suspect that isn’t your real email address. I’ve noticed people who make accusations on blogs often don’t leave their real email addresses.

The owner of Quickpwn.com is not doing anything illegal but they are exploiting the name recognition of a piece of software they didn’t create. This would be the same as someone creating a site called Sourceforge.biz or Sourceforge.info and plastering it with advertisements.

Adria, did you know this website has actual content? If you click the “Read more” you would see content, but looks like you didn’t therefore your video is false and you’re making things up. I know you won’t approve this, but what quikpwn.com is doing is not scam! If you even read through the posts you could see he mentioned Dev Team and gave credit to them, he didn’t say that he made it himself. Funny how people will make things up just to get more traffic to Flickr, blog, and youtube.

Wow Jerry, YOU sound stupid!, first off spell check anyone?, second it’s not exactly illegal because the sofware is not being reverse engineered, third, the warranty is void if they find out about it, see in America we have such things called proof! And if my phone just so happened to end up needing repair who says I’ll go to apple!, when there are plenty of people like me that can fix it myself. finally no one is taking on anyone, just trying to point out the bogus! Wow, one thing to say to dev team: STUPID!!!!!!
Why if you are so upset just because somebody is smart enough to use your product wich you refuse yo receive donations so it would not attach the dev team legally with Apple. well for that is a little to late. Apple could shut you all down in a secodn if they wanted to since the dev team is directly providing tools for jailbreaking wich is illegal for Apple, voiding both the manufacturer and ATT warranty.

Quickpwn makes it clear that is not his produc nor charges for it.

I have been to quickpwn.com before they changed their original site to the new one and i have never clicked once on their google ads.

I people think that they are “savy” enough to commit the above prohibited steps. why are they clicking on ads.

People that do click on the adds are because they didn’t find the content that they were looking for and the adds appeared more appealing to their eyes rather than void their warranty.

Conclusion/Solution:
Either create a sub company not related to dev team and have ads on that page or stop whining.

By the way… the ads posted on any website by Google, the content is selected by Google in relation of what content you have in your website. Now you went from messing around an Apple product to fu**ing with Google. good luck.

Thanks for your support! What I did do is verify your link and then put it in Google Translate so when people visit from ButYoureAGirl.com, it’s in English vs Romanian.

Thanks for the heads up. I also posted the news on my forum, and encouraged my readers to register a violation report to Google, and have done so my self. Thank Dev team for everything, and keep up the good work.
