Adding Multiple Domain Names to Your Google Apps

How to add additonal domains to your Google Apps account.  Forget the difficulties of fumbling with Microsoft Exchange, Google Apps makes it easy to add on multiple domain names so you can receive email on behalf of several domains.

Google Apps MX Records You Need to Add

Excerpt from Google Help – Domain Aliases

For each MX Record, enter information according to the data in the table below:

  • For the Select the Priority Value drop-down menu, enter the priority value.
  • For Enter a Host Name, leave the default setting to @.
  • For Enter Goes To Address enter the Google server name in the table below. Be sure to include the trailing dot at the end of each record.
  • For the Select TTL Value drop-down menu, enter 1 Week. This will appear as 604800 seconds within the DNS system.

    Nice video, but one correction: you indicate CNAMES are done at the registrar level. that is not true, they are done in DNS. it may be that your registrar is also your SOA for DNS, but it isn't a requirement.

    Good point. I recommend that people maintain their DNS records with a
    domain registrar like GoDaddy for the most flexibility. Once you send DNS
    to a hosting company that offers cPanel, DNS changes must be made through
    requests to the hosting company via phone or their ticketing system.
