I created a tutorial on how to setup Disqus in WordPress. Disqus is a cloud commenting system which creates an instant community on your blog or website.

I changed my mind about it after seeing how successful it was on Jack and Jill Politics.

    so i enjoy the functionality, but i'm having an issue w/ importing all of my comments. did you encounter any issues when importing? did you have to import multiple times? i've imported several times, and each time a few more comments get added on, but not all of them.

    is there a remedy for this?

    I didn't have any problems importing. Are you sure you're waiting until the
    process is complete?
    There is a status area which shows if the process has finished.

    How many comments do you have on your blog?

    I waited until it said it was finished processing before checking. Still some posts did not have comments listed, even though they had comments before. I have 1,379 comments (stretching back to 2006) & they aren't all showing up…still. I've “imported” them several times, and like I said before, each time more comments appear, but not all. I dunno what's going on or if I need to do something else to help it along.

    well i'm starting to think about my decision to integrate into my site. I think intense debate is more functionl and much better looking than disqus. I actually chnge my main site back to Intense debate and use disqus for other blogs

    One thing I really like though Disqus is the ability to reply directly to your comment in email. That’s where I’m writing right now and as soon as I hit REPLY it will appear on the site.

    Disqus is a quality commenting system. I love comment on it much better than any other system. When I am searching for a blog to read, this is one of the things I am looking for.

    Disqus is the top commenting platform in my opinion. Not only is Facebook Connect integration nice but allowing users to also use their Twitter accounts to leave comments is awesome.
