I haven’t needed MMS capabilities until now. MMS allows you to receive rich text messages that can include images or html. Since I’ve jailbroke my iPhone and unlocked it onto the T-mobile network, it’s pretty much seen a life of work centric apps and phone calls…until now!
This video explains how to enable MMS on a T-mobile iPhone running at least version 3.0 of the iPhone firmware:
Steps
- Go to Settings> General> Network> Cellular Data Network>

- Under “MMS” fill in the following items:
- APN: wap.voicestream.com
- Username: <leave blank>
- Password: <leave blank>
- MMSC: http://mms.MSG.eng.t-mobile.com
- MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.20:8080
- MMS Max Mesage Size: <leave blank>
- MMS UA Prof URL: <leave blank>

- You need to now turn off your iPhone so hold down the power button at the top until you see “slide to power off” and slide
- Give it a minute then turn it back holding down the button at the top again
- Once booted up, you need to enable MMS in Settings> Messages> and turn on “MMS Messaging”

Results Of Your Hard Work
Now, not only can your receive fabulous MMS messages, when you want to share a photo with someone, you will see the option to send via MMS!
